I'm Not Really Loving It

So I've just learnt from the Gruen Transfer that the McDonalds logo has greater symbol recognition around the world than the Crucifix. 

Now I'm not sure how I feel about this. In a way it's quite amusing that a burger company can have bypassed (only in marketing terms) the entire Christian faith. Yet though I'm not religious, I find it intensely worrying that Ronald McDonald has more facebook friends (if you will) than the most recognised historical figure ever.

Next they'll be selling McDonalds charms in jewellery stores.

Oh no.

How did I not see this coming?!
